A Quick Guide to Mont Tremblant Ski Resort

Mont Tremblant is a great ski mountain. Located in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada, it has great conditions, a great town, and so many fun activities if the skiing is not what you’re looking for! Tremblant offers 102 trails, 14 lifts, and a 2,116ft vertical. This is a great sized mountain, with great diversity from beginner runs, to glades, to very challenging diamond runs.

In addition, Tremblant has a great little village located right at the base of the mountain, with lots of shops and activities to do. I went to Mont Tremblant a couple years ago with my mom and dad, and had a great time. It has a great family atmosphere and some bars if you want more of a night life. I really do think Mont Tremblant has a great mix of everything for a nice skiing/snowboarding getaway.

In this article you will read about Mont Tremblant ski, Mont Tremblant hotel, Mont Tremblant village, Mont Tremblant ski resort, Mont Tremblant to Montreal, Mont Tremblant height, Mont Tremblant location, Mont Tremblant weather, Mont Tremblant elevation, Mont Tremblant directions, Mont Tremblant summer, Mont Tremblant National Park, and more.

This post is all about Mont Tremblant.

Mont Tremblant Ski

Okay, let’s first talk about the mountain and then you can determine if it’s somewhere you would like to travel to. Mont Tremblant has a total of 102 trails, 22 of them being easy, 31 being intermediate, and 49 of them being very difficult rated trails. You can find the Tremblant ski map here. When I skied here, I don’t remember Tremblant being a super difficult or steep mountain. I really enjoyed Tremblant and the mountain, I thought it had a good variety of everything.

It is a total of 2,871ft tall with a 2,116ft vertical, and a total of 763 acres (178 of that being glades). Size and terrain wise, I would compare this mountain to Sunday River in Maine. Sunday River is a bit bigger but overall it’s pretty comparable to Sunday River, with the terrain and variety it offers.

To get to Mont Tremblant, you can type Mont Tremblant into Apple or Google Maps and it will pop up. Or you can type in your hotel or airbnb directions again, into Apple or Google Maps and Tremblant should pop up. Mont Tremblant does have an airport if you would like to fly instead of drive there. However, this is a very small airport and booking a car might be pretty pricey. I would advice driving to Tremblant if you can.

Now, if skiing isn’t your thing, they also offer a lot of other different winter activities. Such of those being tubbing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, winter hiking, water park, and more that you can find here.

Mont Tremblant Village

Now, the village at Tremblant is truly fun. This was my favorite part (along with the skiing and tubing) of Tremblant ski resort. Located right at the base of the mountain, the village has maple syrup on a stick, little bakeries, restaurants and other shops located in the village. They also have some bars in the village if you are looking for some night life.

When I was there, I would say Tremblant gave off more family vibes than party vibes. So, this might not be the mountain for you if you want more of a party atmosphere. Not saying, that there isn’t any partying, because there definitely was, but it was more families that I saw. Because of the location in Quebec, most signs are in French and all the locals speak French. Most locals speak English too, but majority of people speak French. Here are more things to do at the Mont Tremblant village.

Mont Tremblant Summer

On the other hand, if you are more of a summer person, don’t worry, Tremblant still has plenty of things for you to do. Tremblant does have hiking trails for winter and summer, you can find a map of them here. They also have various printable versions of skiing and hiking maps that you can find here. You can find more summer activities available at Tremblant here. Here are some more trails that are on AllTrails in Mont Tremblant National Park.

Another city about 4 hours away is Quebec City. Quebec City is a lot like the old part of Montreal. Quebec City has cobblestone roads and lots of beautiful older looking buildings. Near Quebec City, there is a popular waterfall called, Montmorency Falls, that you can zip line across. It’s only 15 minutes away from Quebec City, and I think it’s worth the drive to go see. In addition, Montreal is only an hour and a half away from the ski mountain. I totally think Montreal is worth the drive especially, to see Old Montreal.

From the capital region in New York (Albany), Tremblant is about a 4.5-5 hour drive. If driving from the US (which is what we did), you will cross the border about 3 hours into the drive (if coming from Albany). You will need a passport of an enhanced license. Now, if coming from any other country, I’m not hundred percent sure of all the documents you need, but a passport is one of them. I would look up all the id you need to bring before you leave/plan your trip.

Mont Tremblant Hotel

When I stayed at Tremblant, my parents and I did stayed at the resort, which is unusual for us. We will usually stay wherever has the best deal, which is typically NOT right on the resort. However, Tremblant was pretty reasonable to stay right at the resort. However, I recently looked into prices and it is MUCH more expensive then when we went. I think covid most have upped the prices, because you won’t find anything right on the resort for less than $500 a night. Thus, I would turn to AirBnB for places to stay. I looked and there are tons of AirBnBs not too far from the mountain and village, that are around $130-200 per night. There’s also some nice places on Booking.com.

Mont Tremblant Weather & Elevation

Mont Tremblant has pretty similar weather to the northeast of the US. The snow they get is very similar to east coast skiing in the northeastern part of the United States. The snow is a wet kind of snow and can have hidden ice patches. However, right after a good snow storm, the snow is amazing and super fun to ski/snowboard in. Mont Tremblant stands at 2,871ft and you can hike it in the winter and summer time. In the summer time the weather is usually around 75-95℉ with humidity.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, I really liked Mont Tremblant when I was there. I loved the ski village at the bottom of the mountain. I liked that everything you needed was right there at the bottom of the mountain and at the village/resort. I think families would have the best time here. When I was here there were some party people but I really got the vibe that mostly families went to Tremblant. At last, thank you so much for reading and I hope this article was helpful.
