If you’re like myself, and you’re always looking for a good bargain and unique gifts, then, I suggest going to your local farmer markets (or flea markets). This post will tell you about the best and most popular farmers/flea markets all throughout New York state. No matter, if you live in Long Island, or NYC, or 2 hours away from the city, you will find some great places for you to travel to. So, let’s get started!

1. Brooklyn Flea Market

The Brooklyn Flea Market is located in the Dumbo Archway, 80 Pearl Street, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5pm. Smorgasburg, is also in Brooklyn, but in Williamsburg at Marsha P. Johnson State Park, 90 Kent Avenue on Saturdays from 11am-6pm. They also have different locations within the city on different days. The Flea Market is open from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in October.

2. Rock n’ Shop Market

Next on our list, is another market located in Brooklyn, the Rock n’ Shop market. This market is a little edgier than the previous market mentioned, but it is still fun and open for all ages. It is located at 17 Meadow Street, Brooklyn, NY, and here is a website with their dates and times of operation.

3. LIC Flea and Food

Alright, next on our list is also in the city, the LIC Flea and Food, located in Long Island City, Queens. They have great food, beer garden, eclectic shops, and some music/beer festivals, during certain times. This awesome market has unique times it is open. 4. The Chelsea Market

Alright, another flea market located in NYC, is the Chelsea Market. It is located between 15th and 16th streets in NYC, here is a website giving you all the information about where and when the market is open.

5. Union Square Greenmarket

Another great Farmers Market in NYC, is the Union Square Greenmarket. Here are directions and hours of operation. Also, here is a list of even MORE farmer markets throughout the city. There are hundreds to choose from, so I hope this website helps with picking one located near you.

6. The Washington County Antique Fair and Flea Market

Next on our list is located in upstate New York, near the capital region, the Washington County Antique Fair and Flea Market, in Greenwich, NY. This fair is located at the Washington County fairgrounds, with over 150 sellers, from around the country.

7. The Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market

Alright, next on our list is also in upstate, near Poughkeepsie, NY, in Stormville, NY, is the Stormville Airport Antique Show and Flea Market. It is open once a month through April and November, and displays over 550 sellers. It is located at the Stormville Airport from 8am-4pm, on various Saturdays and Sundays.

8. The CNY Regional Market

Next on our list, is over to our west, in Syracuse New York, the CNY Regional Market. It is open from May through November, on Saturdays from 7am-2pm (year round), Sundays from 7am-2pm (as a flea market), and Thursday from 7am-2pm (as a farmers market). 9. The Keene Farmer’s Market

Next on our list, is located in Keene Valley, NY, called, the Keene Farmer’s Market. This is a great farmers market to go to if you are spending some time in the Adirondack Mountains or in/near Lake Placid. It is open on Sundays from end of May to beginning of October, from 9:30am-2pm at Marcy Field.

10. The Saratoga Farmer’s Market

Next, is the, Saratoga Farmer’s Market, located in, Saratoga Springs, New York. This is open year round, on Sundays from 10am-2pm. Here is their website with more information and their location as well.

For the last couple of markets, I figured, I would just list them for you all, with links to their websites (so I don’t repeat a lot of the same things). There are a bunch of different farmer’s Market’s located throughout the capital region, finger lakes, and downstate areas. Some great ones are, The Beacon Farmers Market, The Troy Waterfront Market, New Paltz Open Air Market, Ithaca’s Farmers Market, Callicoon Farmers Market, and Rochester Public Market.
