Winter Time

Like I said, I am outside even in the winter time. Now, it is harder to get outside everyday because of the limited daylight. Also, I do not walk or run in the dark, but I give people a lot of credit who do. Typically, when there’s more daylight, I try to go for walks/runs for at least an hour every other day. I try to do this in the winter as well, but sometimes it will only be the weekends where I will be able to get outside.

Anyways, when you do get outside in winter, I know it can be hard to stay outside if you are not dressed appropriately. It’s all about dressing appropriately. This article can tell you how to dress appropriately for skiing and this article can tell you how to dress appropriately for winter hiking.

Spring Time

Spring time is surprisingly, the toughest time for me to get outside. Waiting for the snow to completely melt is a slow process especially in the northeast. March and April are always full of surprises weather wise. One day it could be sunny and 50 degrees, the next day we could receive 8 inches of snow. This makes it hard if you’re waiting for all the snow to melt for your next outdoor activity. My favorite outdoor activities require either full snow (skiing & winter hiking) or no snow at all (summer hiking). Thus, the in-between time, Spring, is a really hard time for me. Hopefully, if you struggle too, these activities will help.

  1. White Water Rafting (Spring is actually the best time for this, rapids will be the fastest)
  2. Kayaking/Canoeing
  3. Plant a Garden
  4. Bird Watching
  5. Golfing
  6. Ultimate Frisbee
  7. Softball/Baseball
  8. Fly a Kite
  9. Mini Golf
  10. Climb a Tree
  11. Go on an Archaeological Dig
  12. Basketball
  13. Carriage Ride or Horseback riding

Fall Time

Fall time. Autumn is a lot of people’s favorite season. Rightfully so, if you live in the northeast, the leaves are beautiful. I agree, the fall is one of my favorite seasons too. The trees are at their peak and the snow is on its way. There is so much to do in the fall.

  1. Leaf Peeping
